Serving as Vice President of Software Development for Your Dev Team, Lance is responsible for managing multiple teams to meet deliverables on schedule at a consistent level of quality. Responsibilities include overseeing implementation of development processes and quality, assisting clients with formulating technical solutions to business problems, refining software requirements and ensuring development efforts meet project schedules and budget.

Working as Lead Developer during QuipSites’ formative years, he had a hand in all aspects of website design and implementation with a strong focus in Kentico CMS web development. Most effort was directed to site structure development, page template implementation, web part development and custom code using the built-in Kentico API to support user requirements. Major accomplishments include developing a communication and workflow system for connecting patients to treatment centers, enhancing and expanding a social networking site for business professionals with an international focus, and design and implementation of the web front-end for an online learning system to provide continuing education credits for nurses and other health professionals.

Lance served as Web Developer, Build Coordinator and Lead Tester at AFS Logistics in Shreveport, LA where he was responsible for helping maintain the existing system for managing client, carrier, and internal staff interaction, developing and maintaining the new company forward-facing website, constructing and maintaining the QA and testing environment, developing and implementing the company source control policy, maintaining the source control repository, building and deploying new software releases, verifying and testing new releases, providing tier-3 support for internal and external users, and implementing internal and external application security policies. He also assisted in developing and maintaining custom software for internal use, which included transforming a full-time manual task of generating quarterly client reports into an entirely automated process, a new internal package auditing system, and a Windows application for managing international and air expedited shipments.

Lance attended the Master of Science in Computer Systems Technology program at Louisiana State University in Shreveport where he studied Decision Management, Decision Support Tools, Computer Graphics, Data Modeling and Visualization. His major project work involved developing a prototype online learning system for assisting biology students in studying Mendelian inheritance.

Lance attended the Master of Science in Computer Science program at the Center for Advanced Computer Studies (CACS) at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette where he studied Algorithm Design and Analysis, Database Design and Implementation, Operating System Design and Implementation, and Cryptography.
He received his Bachelor’s Degree of Science from Northwestern State University with a major in Mathematics. Main areas of study included Real Number Analysis, Pattern Recognition and Logic.
